Architecture gives a photograph lines, doorways and a sense of scale. An outdoor setting brings movement, changing light and room to walk. Neither requires you to act like someone else. If a dramatic landscape sounds less enjoyable than a quiet neighborhood walk, that preference is useful information.
Begin with one area instead of collecting distant stops. The time between locations includes finding parking and walking back to the car, not only the drive shown on a map. A route with fewer transitions can give you more room to relax, notice each other and try a different frame without watching the clock.
Coastal plans need a little flexibility
For a coastal location such as Lands End, review the National Park Service visitor information before deciding on the route. NPS describes a windy coastal trail setting and asks visitors to stay on trails and away from cliffs. The view should work for your comfort and access needs, rather than the other way around.
Bring a layer that you would be happy to have in the photographs. Choose shoes for the actual walk, and tell us if stairs, slopes or a long distance would make the session less enjoyable. We can discuss a shorter route or a different setting. Check current conditions close to the date rather than expecting the coast to match the weather where you started the day.
Permission follows the location
Public access does not settle every photography question. A garden, privately managed courtyard and national park may have different rules. Share the exact place you have in mind so the applicable access and photography requirements can be checked. Booking a photographer does not reserve a public space or give exclusive use of it.
Clothes and photographs should feel connected
